Terms of Dunmow
Welcome to Dunmow Vehicle Hire Services. These Terms of Service (Terms) govern your use of our website carhiredunmow.co.uk and our vehicle rental services. By using our services you accept these Terms.
1. Dunmow Rental Agreement
All vehicle rentals with Dunmow are governed by a Rental Agreement issued at booking confirmation or upon vehicle collection. The agreement sets out the detailed terms, conditions, insurance cover, fees and your obligations for that rental. If any provision of these Terms conflicts with the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.
2. Dunmow Eligibility Rules
To rent a vehicle from Dunmow, you must:
- Be at least 21 years old (age limits may differ by vehicle type, with additional charges for drivers under 25). Hold a valid full driving licence appropriate to the vehicle category, held for the minimum period stated in the Rental Agreement. Provide valid identification along with proof of address and a payment method acceptable to Dunmow.
3. Dunmow Booking and Payment
- Bookings can be made through our website, by phone, or in person at our Dunmow location. A booking deposit may be required to secure your reservation. Full payment and security deposit are typically due at vehicle collection. All prices are in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. ...
4. Dunmow Collection and Return
- You must inspect the vehicle carefully when you collect it and report any pre-existing damage to Dunmow immediately. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed by you and a Dunmow representative. Return the vehicle in the same condition as at collection, allowing for normal wear and tear. Any new damage identified on return will be assessed and charged to the hirer.
5. Dunmow Insurance and Liability
- Basic third-party insurance is included with all Dunmow rentals. Full coverage details and excess amounts are provided in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be offered to reduce your financial liability. Please review these options carefully. You are responsible for damage or loss up to the excess stated in the Rental Agreement.
6. Cancellations and Amendments
For Dunmow bookings, cancellation and amendment rules depend on booking type and required notice. Refer to your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement for the exact terms. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur charges.
7. Dunmow Restrictions
You must not use Dunmow’s rented vehicle for:
- Use in Dunmow for any illegal purpose or activity. Participation in racing, rallying, off-roading, or other hazardous activities. Carrying hazardous or dangerous materials. Sub-letting to third parties or permitting unauthorized drivers. Operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Any use for which the vehicle is not intended...
Violating these restrictions may result in immediate termination of your Dunmow rental and additional charges.
8. Dunmow Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by English and Welsh law, Dunmow Vehicle Hire Services will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data or business, arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with these terms will be limited to the total fees paid by you to Dunmow Vehicle Hire Services in the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
9. Governing Law — Dunmow
These Terms for Dunmow are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will fall within the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10. Changes to Dunmow Terms
Dunmow may modify these Terms at any time. Modifications take effect immediately upon posting on the Dunmow website. Continued use of Dunmow services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
